a glimpse at our past week...

now it's back to reality tomorrow. *sigh*

it's been awhile....

Well, it's been quite awhile since I upated the blog so I thought I'd better get busy. June was a terrible month, first with the loss of Dan's dad and then Jack dying also. We're hoping July is a much better month! Things are hard here though. I'm finding it very tough managing our schedules everyday. Dan & I both work very physical jobs, his more so, and with working opposite shifts it just sucks! I don't know how else to put it. He watches Finn all day and then goes to work tired, I work all day, come home tired and Finn to watch in the evenings. It's not fun... The never seeing each other is hard on a marriage as well. We did the opposite shift thing years ago when we were first married and it wasn't so hard, not it's different. Dan doesn't have a choice in his working 2nd shift either. He is low man on the totem pole and the average time there till 1st shift is about 3 years. So, we have a long road in front of us and I need to quit whining. It's just hard on me right now, I don't know if it's my hormones still out of whack or what, but this week has been especially hard on my.

Anyways, on to better subjects, Finny!! Finn is now 7 months old, crazy, right?? He's crawling everywhere and getting into everything. He's pulling himself up to standing and is getting lots of little bumps and scrapes on his head doing that very thing. Just this morning I took the bumper pad out of his crib b/c all he's been doing is pulling it down. We'll see how is is without it, I may end up putting it back on. He's having a little seperation issues with me as well. Just me. The last 2 night's I've pretty much had to let him cry himself to sleep. I hate this, but I think it's the best thing. Some nights I just cry right along with him. :) He's loving his little swimming pool this summer too. Last weekend his cousin Lilly was here and they had a good time playing in the pool together. I can't believe how much I love this little dude. That's what Dan calls him, Little Dude. :)

Well, he's not happy anymore in his jumparoo so I better go get him. I hope everyone has afantastic weekend!!
